Welcome to Our Home!

We have absolutely LOVED living here in Village Green. I can't imagine being anywhere else, that is why I am so sad our time here is coming to an end. Here are a few things we feel makes our unit special:

-1/2 bath. Having a bathroom on the main floor has been a lifesaver. From being pregnant to potty-training a toddler, to entertaining guests, it has been very nice to have this extra bathroom.

-Front unit very close to parking. We park literally 5 steps from our front door. It has been great for unloading things from the car, or needing to run out and grab something out of the car.

-Lots of storage. Our pantry, linen closet, and upstairs bathroom have lots of storage that we really appreciate.

-Close to the big playground. It is easy to just run out there and play or say 'hi' to friends. My husband can see us really easily if we are out there when he comes home from school.

Some great things about Village Green are all the friends, workout class, card night, craft nights with friends, walking groups, close to the Botanical Gardens, Zoo and Downtown/Old Market.

You will love living in Village Green! There is so much to do here and nearby, and you will make great friends while you are here. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Kitchen and Dining Room

We love having a front unit. One big reason is all the sunshine we get that lights up our house. We almost never need lights on in our house until it gets dark outside. The kitchen and dining room are painted a nuetral like the rest of the house. The dining room has a ceiling fan powered by the light switch. We had a new sliding door installed in the summer of 2008. There is laminate wood flooring in the dining room continuing into the entry way of the front door. There is tile flooring in the kitchen and into the half bathroom.
We have a dishwasher that you can see pictured below.

This is the pantry that is between the kitchen and half bath. It is HUGE and we have absolutely loved it. You can see the door knob for the door that lead to the basement on the left side.

Living Room

Carpeted living room, nuetral paint. Has wood laminate in entry way. Half bath is behind back wall of living room (you can see the door handle in the first picture).

Carpet on stairs and up on landing on second floor.

Master Bedroom

The front units have bedrooms that are a few feet longer, and it has been great to have a bit more room. There is original hardwood floor in the room, but we layed carpet over it without damaging the wood at all. There is a ceiling fan with remote in here, and nuetral paint.

Second Bedroom

Bedroom has white beadboard all along bottom half of walls. Painted light yellow that has worked well for us. Ceiling fan with remote control. Nice thick blinds. Original village green wood floors that have been kept in great shape. Walk in closet that has multiple rods and shelves to keep all your clothes organized.

Bathrooms

The upstairs bathroom has a great vanity and lots of storage, it has been wonderful.

The half bath has red wallpaper with stars, goes great with our Americana decorations!

Basement

The basement has the washer/dryer and heater/water heater. The other end is storage and our study area. This desk is staying with the unit if you want it. There is lots of storage under the stairs.

The Outside

We live at the end of Arbor Court, which is a little cul de sac/parking lot. This has been nice with all the little kids running around, you don't get people speeding by like you do on the main road.

Our parking spot is directly in front of our unit (the van is in the spot we have reserved for our unit). Not many units have such close parking, it has been a great thing for us.
Here is the patio outside of the dining room. We barbecue almost year round out here, which is another reason we have enjoyed a south-facing unit-there is always sunshine to warm us up!
